As part of basic engineering, we first gain an overview of the current operational status. For this purpose, we record the necessary information such as R+I flow diagrams, overview isometrics/piping plans, MSR/PLT circuit diagrams, as well as the previous mass and energy balances on site.
Based on the planning documents, we create the concept for the implementation of the entire process as part of basic engineering. We also describe the technical feasibility, the dimensioning of the system components and the requirements for the process control of the operating system and the auxiliary systems.
In addition, there is rough resource and scheduling planning, taking into account compliance with occupational safety for the assembly work, a cost estimate and a technical risk assessment as well as calculations regarding pressure losses, mass and energy balances, etc. with a comparison to the actual state.
Based on this, further details for the implementation of the project are worked out in detailed engineering. This includes, among other things, the specification of system components, materials as well as measuring and control components. This engineering phase is completed with the description of the interfaces to the outside or to other parts of the system.
